To unfetter is to break free, to unchain, to release yourself from what holds you back. And for me, Unfetter carries a profound meaning. For much of my life, I felt like my wings were clipped, my voice suppressed … and I was unable to express my true self. I had all the outward markers of happiness and success, but inside … at the soul level … something felt missing. I felt deeply unfulfilled. It took me a long time to realize that this feeling of being stuck was the result of unresolved wounds from my past, especially childhood trauma that I had buried deep within me. The pain and shame I carried inside stifled my voice, and left me feeling like I didn’t deserve a happy life.
But the moment I became self-aware that I was living a life chained to my past, I felt empowered to begin the healing process. Slowly, through holistic practices, self-awareness, and deep soul-searching, I began to recover piece by piece. I reclaimed my voice, my innate strength, and my sense of self. I started unfurling my wings, bit by bit, preparing for the take-off of the flight I had always longed for … yet never believed I could take.
